These are the specifications that I already mentioned and that we agreed on over skype. But I still want to list them more detailed to erase any doubts. The Custom rom is for the Samsung Galaxy Beam Gt-i8530. The Rom should have/be:
1. prerooted, stable and battery optimized. The JB and GB versions were totally laggy and unstable. This should not happen with this rom. As I assume you would root it with chainfiressupersu app/ binaries it would need have anunroot option as well (at least that’s what the supersu app has). Having an unroot option is important.
2. Cyanogenmod version based on Kitkat. The most stable (and if possible latest) CM version
3. integrated CWM recovery
4. OTG support (usb host mode) Myviewers want to be able to connect usb devices such apendrive, usb mouse, usb keyboard, usb gamepad, usb hub (and other usb devices) to the phone. It would be important that this function does not need an external power source. Please try to make the highest output possible. I think normally devices over 100mAh can be powered but if you can raise that limit it would be good.
5. Overclock. I don’t know how much the kernel can be overclocked but do the highest frequency possible.
6. Swap support which needs to be enable in the kernel. I want to be able to use apps such as [login to view URL] for virtual ram taken from the micro sd card. I want to be able to use the full 4 GB of memory swap.
7. 1080p movies have to be playable again. This was initially possible on gingerbread on the built in video player, the vlc player, bsplayer and others... but not anymore on jelly bean. Only 720p is possible on JB now. I don’t know where the problem lies (maybe in the decoding) but that’s important.
8. On gingerbread when you turned on the projector you were able to set a time (in the projector settings) when the display turns off automatically (to save battery life while using the projector). Somehow this function does not work on Jelly Bean anymore. I don’t know why. Maybe Samsung screwed something up in the projector apk. I don’t know. The screen has to turn off again in the time set in the projector settings. As previously on GB.
