MySQL Developer & Analyst

Job Description Fast-passed, growing e-commerce company requires database developer for many types of projects ranging from creating an entire set of stored procures, manipulating several million records to diagnosing issues with just one. There will be lots of data analysis, scrubbing, manipulation, managing as well as very complex and advanced SQL quires and stored procedures. Work Environment Work remotely with a small, talented team. Working remotely means you must be able to work independently and diligently with minimal supervision. Required Experience (4+ years) SQL (MySQL Specific) Stored procedures and functions Experience with large data sets (1M+) Analysis and problem solving skills Helpful Experience LAMP environment PHP HTML Basic shopping cart knowledge Basic content management system knowledge Project Examples Create queries/stored procedures that will insert records from one table to another only if the exact record does not exist in the older table Analyzing and extracting data using procedural functions to manipulate very large data sets Import a CSV flat file into database table. Write queries/stored procedures that will parse records, create corresponding tables and insert record parts into specific tables based on record values. Import four flat files into database. Write queries/stored procedures that will clean new data in tables. Write queries/stored procedures that build individual records for main table. Summary We are looking to hire a Long-Term and Full Time DB developer who can work remotely but be available during the week for project communication. If you know MySQL databases well, can write well structured/efficient stored procedures, and you can work remotely without a lot of management then you are what we are looking for.
