I'm looking for a utility just at like the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" (FSTW) on Windows XP, but for Windows 2000. Just to be clear, I'm looking a wizard not a command line utility. I'm looking for something an end user can run.
The FSTW from Microsoft is perfect, except the problem is that when you run it on a Windows 2000 computer it does allow you to pick "New Computer" or "Old Computer."
Ultimately what I would like is to use the FSTW from Microsoft with it tweaked/hacked to run on Windows 2000 to allow me to migrate from a Windows 2000 computer to a Windows 2000 computer.
To use the FSTW on Windows XP go to start -> programs -> accessories -> Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. You can copy all files to a Windows 2000 computer, but you will notice when you run the [login to view URL] it does not give you the "New Computer" or "Old Computer?? option.
I am open to using the command line version of the tool called User State Migration Tool (USMT); but it must be very wizard driven just like the FSTW tool. More information on the USMT can be found at <[login to view URL]>
