Google maps (mysql 5, php 5)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Make a very simple mysql database with 3 html pages to geolocalize addresses in 6 countries. Scripts will be implemented into an existing database. This can be done on our side.
A/ PAGE 1 -> input + database:
-------------------------------------------------
3 drop-down / Select menus
- 6 countries (ex: France, USA, China, Japan, Russia, India)
- Several Sub-Regions (ex: Paris Region = FR = country code)
- 5 city
2 input fields (write manually)
- zip code
- address
Button opens PAGE 2
B/ PAGE 2 -> geolocalize data
-------------------------------------------------
Geolocalize $address+$zip+$city+$countrycode
Ability to drag/drop marker on map to update lat/long
Address written in Chinese links to [login to view URL]
Buttom opens PAGE 3
C/PAGE 3 -> mapping
--------------------------------------------
Display a list of addresses (ex: 101 Street, 202 Fullam Boulevard, etc) that links to Google maps with following features:
• 1 marker
• 320x300 px
• GSmallMapControl
• Random Weather Map
• GStreetviewOverlay()
Note: 2 map versions.
Java compatible and static maps.
Somehting like this:
if (GBrowserIsCompatible())
-> java map
} else {
if (!GBrowserIsCompatible()) return false;
gif map (static maps)
Static maps are intented for mobile browsers.
I have extensive knowledge on google maps and have all the code ready and waiting. Email me asap at and I will start the work straight away. I can even give you a demonstration.
Thanks, Oliver.
This is a project I would love to do. I have put a lot of time into developing services that consume gmaps features. The best of which is a monitor that shows approximately 275 locations around the world that the company I did the project for had equipment. The markers were colored based on whether the equipment was up/down/partially down/or not being monitored at the time. This was kept up to date at a max of 2 minutes offset from actual responses from the equipment. I also included the ability to narrow down locations based on certain criteria.
All of this work was done in JS, PHP, and XML with a mysql backend. I only tell you this because it was the project that makes me the most proud of my abilities!
