9288 rss/ping solution for Joomla

This project is specific to those coders familar with Joomla content management and PHP. The project requires a backend solution for Joomla that will be a component that will 'ping' a 'central server' (A website database) that will notify other rss directories like myyahoo that the site has been update and to collect the rss feeds. The solution I propose is similar but must work for Joomla, the reason it should only work from the backend of each Joomla site is to avoid spamming. It must work on a cronjob also. There is plenty of cronjob/rss/ solutions avaiable for Joomla therefore aquring scripting should not be a problem. It will work from the joomla backend and a cronjob is applied, cronjob can be programmed with a password. So we are speaking about 2 sites: Site 1 : contains the blogs Site 2: does the pinging. I want the component split between two parts and installed on two servers. Site1 notifies the component on site 2 I want the one part of the component to be uploaded to Joomla backend of site1 that the user will download, the user will need to register to site2 where the component on site1 will ping to, so site1 and site2 can communicate with each other. Once this is done, the cron job will ping all the feeds on the site1. As long as the component is uploaded on site1 for site2 so they can communicate with each other. This could provide many solutions: 1) The only work for the component on site1 is to ping the central server site2. All changes need to be made on site2. 2) Users can come to the site and check for all changes made, other rss directories added. 3) All ping to rss directory will happen from the site2 Summary of proposal: On site 2 it will be front-end like a webpage with the details of the all the rss directories, but also asks for the site 1 url where the component on site 1 is installed (which site 2 will check to see that the component is loaded up, (site 1 will initially ping site 2 when the component is loaded, and site 2 will check and confirm when registering).... 1) Component loaded on site 1. 2) Component configured and 'pings' site 2 and registers. 3) user visits site 2 and register details on site 2 to check component is loaded on site 1. 4) Site 2 confirms component upload on site 1. 5) User selects rss directories and pings site 1. 6) cron job auto pings.
