This is for leotas-iris. Our database changes often and we'd like the info on the site to change with it, but w/o the hassle. There are 3 main areas this would be implemented, in the "list" (ex: [url removed, login to view]) and the "detail pages" (ex: [url removed, login to view]) and the "Browse photos"(ex:[url removed, login to view]). Database: Access by microsoft, files have a .mbd extension (if you couldn't tell that's not my area) It is updated by the iris grower daily on site (to reflect changes in amount of inventory due to sales or wildlife damage) and we would like to be able to upload the changes at the end of the day so the website reflects changes (thoughts on this are welcome). There are many fields in the database including "name" "hybridizer" "price" among others. Our database has a description field similar to this: "[url removed, login to view] beige washed & dotted rosy purple,[url removed, login to view] yellow washed & dotted reddish purple,[url removed, login to view] cotta" We want to be able to search the text in the description field to create pages. Example: should we be looking for "yellow" the page results willl bring up all the flowers that have the word "yellow" in the description field. Will this be a problem? I would like the web pages would be created "on the fly" using the info from the database, when asked for by a user. Not knowing much about any of this, you'll have to speak in laymens term. Host: We are hosted by Blue Domino, thier features page is at [url removed, login to view] Pages that will need to be tied in: "Browse photos" similar to the one at [url removed, login to view] , we would like a template that will produce pages on the fly when the user requests it, sorted by these fields: alphabetical (with ability to jump to middle of alphabet without having to manually go through each letter), hybridizer, year, color, bloom season, fragrance, beard, newest added (maybe), and availabilty. The availability we would like an option box would be sold out, 1-3, and 4+. "Detail Page" similar to the one at [url removed, login to view] , we would like a template that will produce pages on the fly when the user requests it, with these feilds being added to the page: "name" "hybridizer, yr" "price" "season, rebloomer, fragrant, beard, foilage" and to offer suggested substitutions if sold out (don't know if this is possible, but would be awesome!) Also, the buttons on the right would need to change according to the name of the flower to get them to the appropriate page. "The List" similar to the one at [url removed, login to view] This one just needs the fields to be updated when the database is. Future plans are to use this information for a custom shopping cart, Paypal is great, but they charge S+h based on the variety, not on the quanity ordered and they don't base shipping on the zone being shipped to, which could vary dramatically.
