Extracting Images from PDF File

I need one of two things as follows. 1. (This is my preference.) A VB6 application which can extract from the appropriate PDF documents at the Government Printing Office URL below each and every photo and save them as either a BMP, JPG or PNG file with a file name of the congressional member (e.g. "Feinstein, [login to view URL]"). Additionally, the extracted file *must* be 98 pixels in height. The original images are larger, thus this will necessitate some shrinking, however the aspect ratio *must not* change. Additionally, all grey parts of the picture (you will understand when you see the PDFs) must appear - no cropping. 2. If some adventurous soul wants to do the extraction by hand (and can do it quickly and cheaply), I will go with this method. As I noted, option 1 is my preference as I have to do this process for not only the current 108th Congress, but also going back to the 104th. Before asking question, view the PDF files (Note that I need all 439 Members (from the 50 states, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands) of the House of Representatives as well as all 100 Senators. Do not need Pres/VP/Cabinet members, etc. For those who wish to attempt the coding option, write clean code. I am sick of attempting to debug code with tons of variables like "j", "l", "x". Use conventions that make it quick to determine the problem when such arises. Only those who send simple sample code to me for review first (do not care what it does) will be considered.
