In our company we are interested in using Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 to manage our corporate documentation and our internal news and notifications. In a first stage, we want a basic customization of the standard portal with two minimal requirements: - shared documents - email notifications when adding news to the portal - customization of the environment After that, we are also interested in deploying VB .NET custom webparts to fit our needs. We are looking for someone with deep knowledge on MS SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to help us with the different stages of this deployment. News webpart --------- ----------- We want to be able to: Use the same webpart in several sections to show different news. Define which users can add news in each section. How the writers will see the "news management" webpart? Which options will have that management webpart? Define which users (AD groups) will be the audience of those news. Send an automatic notification to all the audience when news are added. Something like: Email title: [Section name]: News title Email body: The content of the news and a link to the sharepoint portal server to see the news history. Email template: Being able to use an html template is desirable. Define a checkbox (checked by default) for the email notifications. If the checkbox is disabled, that specific news won't have email notification. When searching in the portal, news contents should be included. Document library webpart ------------------------------ We need: Use the same webpart in several sections to "manage" different document libraries. Define which users can add and edit documents in each library. Define which users (AD groups) could to access to those contents. Send an automatic notification to all the audience when new documents are added with a similar customizable format like the news (Email title, body and template). Define a checkbox (checked by default) for the email notifications. If the checkbox is disabled, that specific news won't have email notification.
