Gesture recognition using Kinect xbox 360

I want a simple program where kinect is used and gesture are recognised. You will need KINECT FOR XBOX 360 for this project. 3 to 4 gesture will do like wave or anything. When wave is recognized, make computer do something like open a browser. PHP is preffered. I do not want complicated software. You can use opencv or nite or other module on python. I have strong experience with opencv + Python and can use the same to make a rich windows application that works as per your requirement. PHP is unsuitable for this as it isn't easy to interface with other external libraries esp. on windows. However python is similar and easy to understand like PHP. I also have very good experience with C/C++ code which is what opencv and the kinect libraries are based on and that will make it easy to integrate the Kinect unit with Python for the program. I have access to a Kinect unit and can use the same for testing on my end.
