Dear Freelancers. We are looking to develop a cloud based piece of software that will carry out this workflow and be able to process up to hundreds of inquiries at a time: 1: the server will receive a sound file in .wav format (max 3 seconds long) which a user will record and upload from a web UI. 2: it will extract the mono waveform of the sound (example: [login to view URL]) 3: it will generate a 3d mesh of a solid of revolution by revolving the waveform about the x axis. (explanation: [login to view URL]) 4: it will return a preview snapshot of the 3d model to the web UI 5: If the preview is approved by the user, it will store the 3d mesh in cloud storage to be downloaded later. The general idea is to convert someone's voice recording into a 3d model which can later be manufactured. example: [login to view URL] We are looking for developers that can also be actively involved in the development of the UI which will be a mobile web app We are assuming that Python will be a great fit for this project. I've got some experiences in the domains of speech recognition and image processing and I'm also familiar with signal processing, 3D modeling and 3D representation. There exist some 3D engines in order to create and manipulate 3D models in web and mobile environment. WebGL is one of the most popular 3D engines which is a JavaScript API for rendering interactive 3D computer graphics within any compatible web browser. Another 3D engine is Unity which is a cross-platform game engine used to develop video games for PC, consoles, mobile devices and websites. I'd prefer to develop applications using cross-platform technologies such as Sencha Touch, JQuery UI. I have a lot of experience with cloud. I'm using Azure for 5 years. Few questions: 1, Did you want use simple web-site to upload wave files? 2. Which format for 3D-files you planned to use? 3. Is python mandatory on this project? I'm experienced c# developer but not python. Also I does not see why python is better for this project.

Hi. I think probability that you will find one man, capable of doing the whole work without extra help is low, because it requires many very different skills. For example, I have experience working with audio files and programmatically creating meshes and saving them as FBX-files for 3D editors like Maya and 3D Max. So I think you should hire several men for different tasks, and split the budget between them. Hello, I learned python during course in artificial intelligence in Vilnius University. The course main topics were numerical optimization, image processing and intelligent agents (the latter not quite useful for the project). The project like this can be rather easily handled using cgi scripts + python, so I do actually think that the budget is too much overestimated. I would agree on 1000$ budget.
