We are in need of an application to be built that is similar to 'Yawcam'. [login to view URL]
Yawcam, while good, has significantly more interfaces and configuration options than we need.
The application should allow the user to set a stored path to save images and be able to save a default camera device, if there are multiple webcams on the client computer.
Upon open the application should present a preview window with an oversized button to take a picture. This application will ultimately be used on a MotionComputing CL900, which is a touchscreen, thus the need for 'finger appropriate size' buttons.
Once the photo is taken, it should save to a default path as a JPEG, using some form of a timestamp as the filename.
The preview window should stay in the foreground until the application is closed, allowing the user to keep taking pictures.
Essentially, this will be used to convert the rear facing webcam in the MotionComputing tablet computer into a point and shoot camera. While there are several applications available in the public domain that perform similarly, we need something stripped down and simple for personnel to use.
