This project requires a guidence, setup, configuration, and transition plan to move from the Windows XP Desktop and Windows 2003 Web Server Operating system to Ubunto Desktop and Ubuntu Server.
Requirements:
It will be required that you provide with a Very user friendly documentation for the installation, setup, configuration, and security of the Ubuntu Desktop and Server System.
For Ubuntu Desktop:
You must develop a transition plan with screenshots with a user friendly manual or HOWTO to move from Windows to Ubuntu. This manual must be written so that a non-experienced Linux user can read, understand, and follow up with instructions. This basically should include like sharing files, folders, and printers. Securing the actual deskptop and machine enviroment for maximum security etc. Images and screenshoots must be provided.
For Ubuntu Server:
You must specify the best way to move from Windows 2003 web server to Ubuntu Server/Apache. We need to know how to run Apache Web Server with a Easy-to-use GUI (Commanche or something else?), and able to run multiple websites under a Dynamic IP (with an dynamic IP client) from instalation, configuration, and setup and actual hosting of Web Sites, SSL, and STMP, POP, email servicing. Keep in mind that most of our technicians are Windows Based and do not know much about Apache, let alone manually configuring the [login to view URL] file. Everything must be done with a Graphical User Interface. Tenon has a good GUI for Apache for the Mac OS X system ,we would like something like that for the Ubuntu server system to configure Apache, Create Websites, install SSL certificates, SMTP, POP, IMAP and such with a good GUI without sacrificing Security.
Clustering:
You must also develop a transcition plan so that we may cluster Ubuntu Servers to create a more powerful single Web Server, and File server. The idea here to to combine Processor Power etc.
Important:
You must have a superior knowledge of Ubuntu, Apache, Clustering, Web Hosting, Email hosting, and Dynamic IP configuration.
Payment:
Payment will be provided once project is completed and systems on your end, like a web server, email server, and an apache gui are able to run eficiently. There will be no UPFRONT fees of anykind, if you do not agree do not bid.
Thank you for your consideration.
