SUMMARY
We have a WooCommerce website that needs to be extended with a WordPress plugin for importing images as products, and using the EXIF data from the images in the product details.
REQUIREMENT: PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY

We need a WordPress plugin that will allow an admin user to manage imports in the following way:
1. Add, edit and delete multiple Import Configurations.
2. Each import configuration will need to allow the addition and editing of the following:
• Import Path location of images to import. This will be a path to a folder on the server.
• Specify the top level category to use when importing the images (the category must be created if it does not already exist, or the user must be able to select an existing category)
• Sub-folder names of the Import Path will be used to create product sub categories, and images within those sub-folders must be allocated to the respective categories when imported.
• A default product title to give each product.
• A default product short description.
• The EXIF data of the images will contain tags that need to be extracted an added to the parent product tags, name and description. The admin user must be able to specify which of the EXIF tags will contain this data. (eg Subject). Not all images will have this data available.
• Allow for product variations to be added, edited, and removed. The variations set up in the Import Configuration will apply to all the products in the import batch. If variations are specified, then the products must be set as Variable Products. All the Variations options available in WooCommerce must be available to specify here, (ie. prices, shipping, downloadable, download files, etc).
• The SKU for the variation will the same as the SKU for the parent product, but with an appended suffix. This suffix must be editable for each variation.
3. Allow the admin user to specify a cron interval to monitor the folder for new images. This must import new images added, and ignore images that have already been added. This should use either the WP cron engine, or be run from a cron job on the server.
4. Allow the admin user to schedule a date and time when the import cron should start and a date and time when it should stop.
5. Allow the admin user to trigger the import manually.
When the images are imported as products,
EXAMPLES
SCENARIO 1.
1. The admin user will be attending a function and taking many photos which he wishes to sell on the website.
2. After the function he will upload the photos to a folder on the server via FTP.
3. He will then log in to the website admin area and set up a new import configuration to import the images in that folder.
4. The images will then become available for purchase, with all the variations and prices that were specified in the import config.
SCENARIO 2.
1. The admin user knows that there is an event coming up and would like to sell the photos that he will be taking at the event on his website.
2. He logs into the admin area of the website and sets up an Import Configuration for this event.
3. He has no photos yet, but knows that he will be uploading them as they become available on the day, so he sets up the import to check the folder that he specifies every few minutes for new images to import.
4. On the day of the event, he has his camera connected to his laptop, and he uses FTP to upload the photos to the folder that he specified in the Import Config.
5. The plugin imports any new photos every time the cron runs and these photos become available for purchase, with all the variations and prices that were specified in the import config.
