BRIEF:
Very quick programming job for the skilled coldfusion programmer. I need a coldfusion code snippet which can take an email address from a form, and validate that it IS authentic.
DETAILS:
I have an html form that goes to a coldfusion process page, which some spammers keep sending spam through to our site. I am working on some various upgrades, but one of the items I cannot figure out is how to verify is a domain is valid that the email address is coming from.
You task is to:
- Check DNS/MX Record Check : ensure that the domain specified is a valid registered domain, and specified an MX record.
- Your code MUST be compliant with most shared hosting accounts, avoiding using the common coldfusion tags that are commonly turned off.
- Your code MUST not utilize something that needs to be installed on the root of the hosting server. I.E. nothing that needs to be installed into coldfusion administrator control panel, or no java applets, etc. All of your code must contain what it needs to perform this, so I can easily install onto all of my forms on a few sites.
- page should show single SUCESS message if all tests are passed, or a FAILED message.
First person who can setup a simple HTML FORM with email address field, that upon submitting it will show the test results and whether SUCCESS or FAILURE and post that URL in the PMB, shall be awarded the job if your price is right.
NOTE: Your code will be tested on our shared server after selecting you, then upon success you shall be paid within 24 hours.
This will lead to other coldfusion projects in the very near future for the skilled coldfusion programmer.
