Angelic mixing decks cue Heavenly songs; you shall hear the divine crew singing ancient hymns upon your arrival. Wait... Are your ears plugged with sand and your eyes closed to the light?!? Has your innocence been abandoned under under wet newspapers, coffee rings, cigarette butts, and moldy bread crumbs? Tired Traveler, have you forgotten about the palace of peace where the party never stops? Were you never told of the river of love that runs through every created thing? No need to fret, for He has come to ignite your spirit.
The Holy Spirit is surely a firebomb of power, a river of creative endorphins that, once dropped, will send a flow of possibilities to overflow your mind and "repo" your spirit. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus Himself, will be released to swim through all of reality as His domain and realm of influence. It is He, God in three persons that will be present at once when you call to Him.
But sadly, for many, the Holy Spirit is left inactive, unused and instead remains shrouded in petty human fears.
People rely first on logic, then on Spirit. Then when logic fails they find some sense in the pursuit of happiness. Then, when happiness continues to evade, a final downtrodden spirit sets in, one of bitter taste.
These people are hard inside and out, not shining inner light, nor even reflecting faint glimmerings of Christ. I know many Christians who have slowly turned into sap running down the side of God’s great tree, no longer even believing it possible to bear spiritual fruit.
Let me offer a solution: Place your belief not in history, nor in frail human concepts, nor in ideas and theories; place your ambition not in fleeting pleasure, but in the Righteous One who will come to dwell with you...
