Project Description: This project is for the "take offs" of materials needed for a purlin shed building. And provide us with material lists, and manufacturing detail. Background: We are a steel shed supply company. We have a range of designs for steel sheds. Most of the designs use purlins steel sections (cold rolled) rather than hot rolled structural steel. Purlins come in standard lengths. These are cut and punched to suit each building. These buildings are made up of individually punched sections of purlins with holes to suit and lengths of steel are cut to suit. When the flat pack steel goes to building site all the holes have been perfectly pre punched and lengths cut to perfect sizes. it is then bolted together by using nuts and bolts and connection plates. we will need takoffs of quantities and dimensions and types of the materials (metal purlins, plates, sheeting, flashings, screws etc) required for that building. We will provide a layout plan and basic engineering design once it is finalised. indicative drawings attached. The successful bidder will be given a basic engineering design and drawings. We will nominate the sections sizes, and layouts. You will then interpret and apply those standard connection details library we supply and Based on the size and design of that particular job, you will determine the require quantities and takeoff the materials needed, the lengths of all sections, then produce a set of drawings with the punching details for steel manufacturer to punch the appropriate holes.
