WTH: Writer / Research Assistant

I’m hiring a research assistant because more of my clients want in-depth, authoritative content. Having a research assistant would enable me to focus on writing and editing, in turn enabling me to take on more clients, and put out higher quality work, faster than I am now. Here are some details about the job, and what I’m looking for in an assistant. The assistant will be responsible for researching the topics I give them (gambling, finance, dating, etc.) using sources such as search engines, ecommerce, question or Wikipedia-type sites, or by emailing webmasters. They will then deliver an organized document with cliff notes, context, sources, etc. Most assignments will need to be completed within 48 hours or less. I’ll give you as many notes, sources, directions, etc. to make the job as easy/quick as possible. It’s important to me that the assistant does not buy notes from other sources (unless approved by me first) and does not copy/paste all of their notes from other websites. The majority of notes should be typed out. This is to eliminate duplicate content / theft issues. Communication is key, too. The assistant needs to be available by Skype and/or email Mon-Fri (or whatever we agree on). It’s important to me that you reach out with any questions or issues you have, so that we prevent any delays to my workflow or deadlines. As for rates, I prefer to pay based on performance (per project or topic turned in). However, I’m flexible and open to suggestions. Payment will be by PayPal, and invoices will be paid once every 1-2 weeks for work turned in up to that point. That about covers it. This is a part time position, but the work is consistent, and it can lead to more work as I improve the process and take on more clients. I’ll do my best to keep you busy.
