Hi -

I am the owner of Vacation Rental Pros.

There are 2 things we need help on with Google Analytics.

#1. We need an AUDIT of Google Analytics to make sure we are set up right.

We just launched a brand new web site. It is not tracking all the items properly now. here is some feedback.

As I was looking over reports in Google Analytics, I noticed that there seems to be a problem with how sales are being attributed to medium, campaign, and source. Specifically, I noticed a dramatic decrease in revenue being attributed to the Email, cpc, and organic mediums since launch.

Although the overall site revenue seems steady, and I am seeing visits being recorded for all mediums, I think the missing sales are being attributed to the "referral" medium instead of where they are supposed to go.

Please take a look at the attached reports and note the increase in referral revenue (MediumComparison.pdf) and specifically, the tracking for the referral source specified as "vacationrentalpros.com (ReferralDetail.pdf). Note the drastic increase in sales between the week of launch and the prior week.

Are alternate mediums being taken into account when someone goes all the way through checkout on the new website?

There may be a possibility that the two issues are related. I considered that, but wanted to go ahead and report the unbalanced attribution of sales to the "vacationrentalpros.com" referral source just in case you guys would be able to recognize what was wrong right away.

I am still not seeing sales flowing in as expected from the new site. I see zero revenue for cpc (this is noticeably abnormal) and Email (this is noticeably abnormal) when looking at my report for yesterday. So, I believe we have separate issue from the URL redirect, tag stripping problem from earlier this week.

Again, it appears that the issue lies in the attribution of sales to the proper medium, campaign, and source.

Look at the attached reports and you will see what mediums are showing sales for yesterday (see Source-Medium-Overview.pdf). Also, this report shows that the referrer "vacationrentalpros.com" is showing a majority of sales for the day.

I looked at the reporting history for the "vacationrentalpros.com" referrer in particular and saw that this referrer wasn't even tracking any visits or revenue until the new site launched. Interesting, indeed. (see ReferralDetail.pdf)

Please let me know if there's any way I can further assist in troubleshooting.

#2. Part 2. We need to set up Google Analytics right to track Navis Marketing and Phone campaigns.

· Replace hard coded numbers on the website with the ShowNavisNCPhoneNumber JavaScript function.

· Dynamically code Click to Chat (page 10).

· Add Push2Talk and dynamically code (pages 9/10).

· Implement Integrated Contact Us Form (pages 11-14).

· Dynamically Code Contact Us Form (page 15). The default keyword is "Organic"

· Evaluate possibility of tracking online bookings:

Follow up meeting with Project Manager, Developer, and Navis support

Does the booking engine have an API with Escapia?

If yes, we need to pass the NAVIS Toll Free Number to the "CampaignID" attribute on the UnitReservation node. NAVIS has a JavaScript function for this or you can develop your own way.
