I'm a Sun certified freelance IT consultant based in Europe (Belgium). I've been working with JavaScript (and lately AJAX) for more than 6 years now. In the past I have already developed almost exactly the same effects as the first and third effect you request. The second one shouldn't be too hard either.

I would like to warn you that although most developers would use a CSS filter to get the 'blur' effect, this only works in IE. My code snippets will also be tested in Firefox. If you want to have the effects tested in other browsers (Opera, Safari, ...), I would have to check first if the lightbox library you suggest also works in those other browsers. If not, there are alternative lightbox libraries.

Upon completion of the project, you will receive four files: a .js file containing the source code, another .js file containing the obfuscated code (reformatted and rearranged to make it hard for users to read and thus re-use it), an example .HTML file and a small document describing how to use, modify and extend the functionality.
