Magento - Create a category for a brand and automatically populate it with products from that manufacturer

I've seen scripts for this but not confident enough to install this myself and insure it works cleanly. I'd like to create a category for each of my brands and have the products from those manufacturers populate their 'categories'. Magento doesn't have a brand page which is painful.. but this is the most common way around it. Should be straight forward for any Magento guru's..
