I'm a published author and new media personality who writes books, helps promote other authors and personalities and I'm looking for an apprentice, mentee, protégé, assistant.
I believe what you say that you're going to do, you do. No excuses.
And when you say you're going to do it, you do it. Not a day later, not an hour later, not a minute later.
I believe in working with someone who is interested in working in books, entertainment and new media and is willing to learn from a professional who is passionate about it and who is good at what he does and who has a rolodex that has taken over a decade to build.
I want to work with someone who understands this is an opporunity to learn from a mentor who's been there and done that and someone who knows that the relationships and the skillset and the values that he or she will gain as an assistant/apprentice to me, far outweighs how little money they may receive to start.
Someone who's motivated by the bigger things he may gain and understands that the money will come if you are not just good but phenomenal at your job. In fact, someone would do it for free because it's not work to them, it's fun and it's an opportunity to learn and to grow and to build a real career which they will be able to cash in on years from now, not overnight.
I believe that the assistant/apprentice should be 10 steps ahead of me and anticipate what I'm going to ask for and have it ready, whether it be a report or a cup of coffee with two packets of Splenda not 3 because they've studied that me, and kept quiet when they could have spoken, learned when they could have taught.
I'm looking for someone who loves to collaborate and contribute ideas to a project but at the same time, knows when it's best to just keep quiet and listen.
I'm looking for a mentee, an apprentice, a true right-hand; someone who loves the long hours and doesn't need me to babysit them or tell them what to do because they've already created their own list of what needs to be done without me having to tell them.
I want someone who wants the job and will not drop the opportunity when more money is flashed in front of their face at a different job.
There is no office, so you’ll be working virtually most of the time.
You’ll have lots of flexibility and freedom with your schedule, so you
can do other things.
I travel a lot and am often working on 20 different projects at once, so I'd like someone who can multi-task but at the same time never drops the ball. There is lots of scheduling that needs to get done – so you should be a super organized person.
And, as my personal assistant, I might ask for you to help with some personal errands too.
In a nutshell – I need a right-hand man (or woman)...I need a babysitter...I need someone who will help keep me organized.
Can you help?
If you’re interested, drop me a note – tell me a little about you and we can set up some time to talk more.
If this is who you are, and you want to go on the journey, contact me.
