Calculate the amplitude of a television signal reflected from a wind turbine over the terrain surrounding the turbine and superimpose 2D graphic results on a google earth map. Parameters include distance of turbine from transmitter, height of turbine relative to height of transmitter, turbine blade dimensions, and angle of incidence of broadcast signal on turbine rotor. Fit calculated amplitude curves to experimentally measured data.
This project was started by another engineer who will be involved with the hand-off to successful applicant. Most of the electromagnetic reflection and propagation mathematics equations are developed. Some coordinate transformation and graphic presentation development are needed to complete the basic capability. Ongoing support adapting 2D graphic results to Google earth maps and curve fitting during experimental measurement will be needed.
