I want to be able to encrypt an MP3 file via a web application. The user then downloads the encrypted MP3 file and a MP3 music player. The music player should know how to play the MP3 file (maybe decrypting in memory?). The MP3 should not be accessible by the user in any way (i.e. in the TEMP directory). They can only use the special MP3 player to play the MP3. The MP3 file is a combination of many songs put together so it can get pretty big (4-5 hours worth of music). The music player should be able to pause, rewind, and forward to certain locations in the MP3 file. I can provide metadata that describes the time location of each song in the file. The encrypted MP3 file should also contain a date and time. If the date and time has passed then the music player must not play the MP3. Instead it will display a message that the MP3 file is no longer valid.
