Web Application Development Partner RFP

This Project is Request for Proposal (RFP) process to select a website application development partner. Velocity Systems LLC designs, develops and markets web applications to specific industries. Currently we are in the process of launching a new business which will target a specific industry with a series of customizable web applications. Our chosen development partner should possess the following capabilities and characteristics: - A ‘PHD’ in Asp.Net 2.0 + and a ‘Master’s Degree’ in CSS, XHTML, JQuery & SQL along with a rich knowledge and experience with security administration and roles. - Web design expertise with ability to create customized layouts and web templates that are esthetically pleasing and very professional including professional quality graphic design that is focused on brand identification. (No cartoons) - Web architecture and database design – A thorough understanding of up-to-date technology and architecture for consolidating, managing and presenting data via a web interface using a number of approaches and API’s (web services, XHTML, XML). - Flash design expertise and Flex Builder knowledge is highly desirable with a thorough working knowledge of AS3 and middleware such as Cold Fusion / JSON / Web Services to connect a Flex / Flash interface to a dynamic data model. - Professional working knowledge of AJAX, DOM, Javascript and any other applicable technologies that enhance the performance, design, and robustness of web applications. - VERY IMPORTANT: Our development partner will need to exhibit an ability to work closely with third parties through a contractual arrangement to insure corporate and data security and integrity. Those respondents not U.S. based that are interested to work with us should provide a highly detailed track record with professional references and preferred model of data delivery and security. If this fits your profile, we welcome your initial response to this project. We will select (3 or fewer) respondents to then sign and return a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Non-Compete Agreement. Upon completion of those agreements, they will then be asked to complete a questionnaire that will go into more detail about our business plan, sales and marketing efforts, short and long term goals and future expectations for development requirements and expected results. The selected web application development partner will be paid for their efforts, however, should expect to receive all the benefits and hardships of working with a start-up organization with significantly more enthusiasm and experience than funding, initially A contractual partnership agreement will be in place to assure future business, but without any guarantees. The winning vendor will receive a payment of $ 175.00 for their time and efforts in completing this process successfully.
