Proof readers to read and correct how-to ebooks.
It is almost impossible for an author to correct his/her own work...Therefore we require competent proof readers to correct how-to ebooks that we publish.
Requirements:
o Successful bidders must be "natural" US english speakers and writers, who understand and practice good grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and spelling.
o Successful bidders will not be responsible for content accuracy, no research is required for this assignment, only the ability to read, understand and correct bad grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure.
o These books are intended to be written in a conversational tone with approximately an 8th - 10th grade reading level.
o Successful bidders will be required to provide a list and location of “questionable?? content…
i.e. in an ebook, which is not a series of articles, but one document, a statement that “this subject will be covered next month??, would be considered “questionable?? content…
We will provide an electronic form to record these “questionable?? content items for review.
o The successful bidder must be very familiar with Microsoft Word and have access to at least ver 2000 or newer. Your knowledge of MS Word must include the creation of TOC's, indices, use of styles and the use of "tracking changes" for proofing documents.
o Only “questionable?? content will be required to be listed on the electronic form...All other corrections made to the ebook will be made using the "track changes" system in MS Word...
The size/length of these books may range from 20,000 words to 60,000 words..
