I own a PC tech company and need a database to track all clients and all workorders associated with these clients. In Access 2003 there is a workorder template that is almost what I'm looking for but doesn't quite work the way I want it to. I need something that will have all the usual work order fields(WO #, customer #, etc.)
Details:
Workorders by Customer(fields):
First name
Last name
Billing Address
City
State
Postal Code
Country
Customer ID(probably would need to be a primary key)
Company
Home Phone
Alternate Phone
Fax
Notes
Now within this I need a button to add multiple workorders to each customer record.
Workorder fields:
Date Received
Date Required
Entered by(employee)
Workorder ID
Customer ID
Service box(meaning a box in the middle of the workorder view in which I can scroll down and enter the employee ID, Labor ID number which would correspond to my various service packages, and a description box)
This may seem a little confusing, but it's basically almost the same thing as the template in Access 2003 but in need of a few tweaks and modifications to suit my business needs.
