Flash/PHP Contact Form-fields need to be 'required'

I have customised a template and the contact form is working fine, but the fields are not setup as 'required' fields. I need it setup so that a user cannot submit blank fields. Contact form is done in flash and is linked to a PHP file.
The contact form can be viewed at [login to view URL], click on Contact page.
