Sports Chat Room

Need development of a Java or Java script chat room for a SPORTS website. 1) Chat will be capable of handling up to 200 chatters with minimal band width consumption. 2) Chat software will be compatable with Netscape, IE, and AOL browsers and operate on a FreeBSD operating system, version 4.8-STABLE, Apache web server. 3) Chatters should have the ability to control font colors. Chat text font will be size 12 Arial. Background color of chat text area will be white. Chatters will choose a nickname upon entering chatroom. Chatters will be limited to 300 characters of text per message entry. 4) In addition to a normal chat room evironment the software will include fields for placing game team names and current scores along with a special admin only remarks area. These fields will be above the chat area. 5) Software will include a web based, password protected, admin control panel giving the admin the capability to ban unwanted chatters and post updated game score in fields along with a special admin only remarks column. Admin will have the capability of controlling team names text color and background color. Font size of team names/score will be 18. The control panel will have the ability for the admin to disable the game score section in order for it to be used for chat only when games are not being played. 6) All text should be arranged in an organized, presentable manner. 7) The chat room and admin panel should be accessible on seperate .html pages to be determined by the admin. 8) Purchaser will own all rights to purchased software. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
