We need some research and (possible) testing for j2me map clients: Google Mobile Maps ([login to view URL]) should be tested for response time when loading map from server after zoom or pan. We want to compare it with alternative j2me SVG map client(s) to see if it worth to implement SVG support, so far we found [login to view URL] map server and client, but failed to install and test it. So we need to know if we can save bandwidth and time if using SVG format for mobile map client, and if so, is there open source or commercial j2me clients available, to use em for licensing or research purposes. Pls note that maps should be available at the server side (not client side), so mobile device will send request and get map data from internet, then display it for the user.
