Project Description:
We need a site template emulating the layout and functionality of Newegg.com.
Site colors will be #ff0000 , # 999999 and silver tones/gradients instead of the orange and yellows of the Newegg site.
We have already purchased custom filter extensions for Virtuemart from two different developers The Cherry Picker and Fast Seller extensions (www.galt.md) and the VM Product Builder and Custom Filters (www.breakdesigns.net) Whichever extension set is used is up to the developer. Developer must demonstrate functionality of either system in Virtuemart with sample products which we will supply.
We would like the template to be based on Gantry and validate to Joomla 2.5+ and Virtuemart 2+ (with the understanding that we will upgrade to Joomla 3.0 relatively soon.
We also have the Yootheme Widget Kit available to use for the slideshows/banner ads etc....use of these Components is up to the developer.
Template will need to emulate virtually every aspect of Newegg's site with variable width on category displays, product display pages, etc.
We have also purchased Universal AJAX Live Search and AJAX Dock Cart from www.offlajn.com. AJAX Live Search will need to be installed and configured as the primary Virtuemart search on all pages as on Newegg's site.
