This is a very simple project. I'll provide you the schema for the user tables from both the PHPBB and Typo3 databases, along with sample data. I need a script, preferably PHP, but Perl is acceptable, which will connect to 2 DIFFERENT database instances on the same host (localhost), it will take the PHPBB user table, and insert relevant portions of it into the Typo3 user table. The user_id is auto incrementing in both databases, but, I need it to stay the same when it gets transferred over to the Typo3 database. This should not be a problem, but you need to be aware of this. The script should also have proper error checking and alert me if there is a problem with a particular row or entry. I have already modified Typo3 to store and check against md5 password hashes (normally cleartext), so the password field can be ported directly over. The fields I am worried about for sure are the user_id, username, password, and email. Obviously, I'd like to get everything possible ported over.
