Transfer Joomla database to online host

I have a Joomla site running on local computer (mysql database on Mac OS X 10.4). I need to create a new database on the host ([login to view URL]) - that should be easy - and then transfer the local database to the new host. The basic problem is: I don't know where the Joomla content is stored and how to get it to the new host. ? I know the database name and all the tables. ? But where's my content and how do I move it over to the new server? Since you don't have access to my local computer, we may need to use Yahoo messenger or similar service so you can walk me through it.
