Creative development for an animation TV series

We are working on a project for a great animation series to be put on television in Australia. The series itself puts out a good message (in my opinion) for people of all ages. We have been asked to come up with a digital strategy for the series! We would like to create a Adobe FLASH based website whereby people create an artwork using a set of artmaking tools, submit it to the website whereby the artwork joins other peoples’ artworks to form a large collage of artworks – a tapestry of sorts. We would also like to allow people to come back to view their artwork and share it on other social networking platforms such as facebook, twitter etc. An example quite similar to what we have in mind would be : [login to view URL] People come to the webpage, fill out some details, create an artwork (a whale) which is added to a larger pool of artworks, and then they can share the artwork with their friends. Another idea we would like to explore is to actually generate the artwork FOR people. We ask them to choose a sound from a youtube, a picture from flikr and a colour, and then the application creates the artwork. So as you can see this project will be very creative and the developer really needs to be up for a challenge and something fun. We are currently seeking a developer to help us code the project. Skills: - primarily be a strong flex/actionscript coder! - 'processing' language - an awesome plus! - create a backend database (xml? mysql?) and allow flash talk to it - integrate social media api's into flash - have strong design sensibilities - the developer will need to integrate our designs into flash in a slick and clean way often making some of their own design choices - strong English skills - work to deadlines thank you and look forward to hearing from you!
