We have an existing Access 2000 database used for registration at a tradeshow... It currently allows users to be added before the tradeshow or at the trade show and it will print badges as either a batch job before the show or individually at the show... Registrants can be any one of 9 different member types and each member type badge is a different color… Member type is a required field to add the registrant… When badges are printed out via a batch job, the program stops and asks the user to change badge colors in the printer depending on the member type field and when printing is done individually at the show it instructs the user to change to the correct badge color for each badge printed...
The new change is to do away with the different color badges and only use blank white paper and a color laser printer instead… The program needs to be changed to print a jpg picture onto the badges (one of 9 different ones depending on member type) and not to instruct the user to switch paper… There will be two different layout forms, one for batch and one for at the show… Layouts will be provided, one is a standard Avery 5392 and the other is the same form except instead of having 6 badges on it, it only has 2 on the bottom so the top can be used as a form letter… This form letter will also have to be laid out as well in the report… An override will also have to be added so that a user can override the member type at the time of printing and select another type just in case a registrant needs to be another type for some reason…
Also included is a sample cover letter with 2 badges and also the standard Avery 5392 sheet showing all 6 badges… Everything on the badges is currently printed except for the colored bar shown…
