There are three components to this project 1) Windows client 2) Server application 3) Website/front end ----(1)----- ActiveX and Executable windows client which allows users to backup/restore files to a central (multiple) servers. Allow for local mapping of remote drive, etc. Before bidding on this project you must download the xdrive desktop v5.1 client: [login to view URL] logout of the xdrive client after you are done. I would like all of the functionality that the xdrive client provides in a similar light/slick and efficient client. ----(2)----- Server to manage client service. I.e. accept login information, return the ip address of the actual server user account is on, etc. All data transfer must be via http (port 80) so it can get through firewalls. Client & Server stability is extremely important. As clients who have scheduled backups will rely on successful completion. ----(3)----- Develop front end website which allows user to signup for service, create and allocate quoata space on a linux file server. Develop front end administative site which allows management of users, including space usage, bandwidth usage, activity, etc. Billing will be handled by a separate 3rd party client. The client should be developed in any language which will minimize the download, installation and usability hassles. The front end should be developed in asp.net. Database to be windows 2003/sql server. File storage will be on any flavor of linux. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
