Hello,
I need to write a CLR application that will read binary files exclusive locked by another application. To do it I need to use duplicatehandle() WIN API and from copied handle I need to extract buffer. I do know the value of file handle that is being locked and also I will work in-proc(not in kernel or out of proc) with locking application therefore obtaining valid file handle is easy part. **I only need function that will extract the buffer from the copied handle!
**
Hints to do;
SafeFileHandle objectHandle = null;
IntPtr handle = (IntPtr)FileHandle; //I know the file handle value
IntPtr currentProcess = GetCurrentProcess(); // woriking in-proc with remote application
if(DuplicateHandle(currentProcess,handle,currentProcess,out objectHandle,0,false,DuplicateHandleOptions.DUPLICATE_SAME_ACCESS))
{
objectHandle = Is Valid Duplicated File Handle
.........................
.........................
//function to exctract the data.....
}
