I have a Linux Samba server installed on my lan. My XP and w2k boxes can see the server, but when I try to access the server, no user or pw is accepeted. There is no error. The auth box just flashs and returns. I can ping the Samba server from win machines. When I try to ping win boxes by name from Samba server, results in "Unknown host" error. No problem with win boxes when pinged by IP. Seems like Samba server needs a name server
All show on same subnet.
The other part of the problem is that LISA doesn't show any servers when I run Konqueror. Probably part of the same issue.
Please do not bid unless U have extensive Samba experience. I do not have time to waste. Problems must be resolved to earn bid amt.
Must have MSN account or Skype VOIP and good English. Please Reply withh hours of availability GMT and your GMT.
Thanks for your consideration.
