Task/Time Management Software (C#/Winforms)(repost)

Multi-user client/server based software to manage tasks & time allocated to tasks. Application will be a desktop application that lives in the task tray which allows user to access the common features. There will only be a handful of screens used throughout the software to access everything. Application to be developed in winforms using c# and webservices ## Deliverables The software is a client/server application to manage tasks and time associated with tasks.? The server will be a webservice running on IIS connected to a SQL database.? The client will be a winforms application that lives in a users task tray. The following features are needed: **User Management Screen ** - Allows users to be added, removed and edited - Allows permissions to be set for a user.? User can have access to certain projects and can be designated with 2 additional options.? User Manager role can add & remove users, Administrator can automatically see ALL projects **Project Management Screen -** Allows projects to be added, removed and edited - Each project will contain approximately 10 properties (name, desc, etc.) - Allows users to be associated with Projects (same as in User Management Screen) - Projects can exist hiearchial - that is - projects can be a sub project of a parent project. The hiearchy is used for display purposes **Task Management Screen -** Allows tasks to be viewed, added, removed and edited - Each task will contain approximately 10 properties (name, desc, etc.) - Allows tasks to be assigned to users - Tasks can exist hiearchial - that is - tasks can be sub tasks of a parent task.? The hiearchy is used for display purposes - Tasks have a type associated with it - for filter purposes.? Differnet tasks may contain differnet properties - although in the first version of the software there will be only 1 type of task - Shows the time that has been logged against a particular task **Task View Screen **In the task view screen there will be 3 views.? Each view will show the various properties of tasks in columns.? Views will be hiearchiallly organized depending on parent relationships.? The views are: View 1:? Tasks by Project - Show tasks, grouped by project View 2:? My Tasks - Show tasks assigned to me, grouped by deadline View 3:? My Deligated Tasks - Show tasks created by me, assigned to someone else, grouped by project Each view will have a few controls on it as follows: i. Simple controls for manipulating the tasks - ie changing properties, relationships, etc.? Very simpliar to the grid in MS Project ii. 1 or 2 filter controls.? Example - View 3 may have a radio button that sais (o) Group by Project (? ) Gropu by deadline - so that tasks can easily be grouped iii. controls to track time for the various tasks **Time Tracking Screen **This screen is activated when a user wants to log time for a particular task.? User enters the time spenet ont his task - by default today - but user can also enter other days he spent on this task **Other Features -** Application lives in the task tray and can be accessed from the task try by right-mouse clicking - Application icon has several states - indicating if a user is currently not working, or working on a task - In task view, user can select START WORKING ON THIS TASK and if so a timer indicates that user has started working on this task.? When user is done on this task, they can just select DONE WORKING ON THIS TASK and the time tracking screen will automatically popup with all things prefilled so user can just submit it - If the application notes that a user has NOT submitted at least 8 hours (admin configurable) for any of the prevoius work days, an annoying - ALWAYS ON TOP window appears in the top right of the screen that says that user has not completed their time tracking for a certain day.? User at this point has 2 choices - use the application to Time Tracking screen to enter all tasks for previous day or 2) confirm int he popu the user has NO TIME allocated to the previous day.? This will be recorded accordingly.? The next phase of this project will include some sophisticated reporting - and that fact will be used at that time. **Creative **The project will follow standard winform development.? The only screen which is a little more complicated is the task view screen and it will contain some contorls which are very similar to the MS PRoject Grid view.? You will be provided with a complete wireframe document outlining what each page shoudl look like before implementation **Future Versions **This bid is only the first phase of a fairly large project.? Successful developer who completes this project in a reasonable timeframe will be given the opportunity to work on future versions.
