Hoping that there is a "quick and Dirty" Solution for this application, as the budget is limited. I need a little utility that can back up and restore registry keys. The most important feature is that the utility can read from a text file which keys to backup/restore. Here are more specifics: 1) No user interface required, except perhaps to say "x Keys were backed up". 2) The utility would read which keys to backup from a TEXT file. The idea here is that I would have the ability to add and delete which keys I want backed up. This feature is CRITICAL. The text file would simply contain the full registry path to the key (i.e. H\_KEY\_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT VERSION\EXPLORER\SHELL FOLDERS\APP DATA) 3) The utility "could" write the backed up information to a .REG file. This way the utility would not need a bunch of xtra code for the restore. It could simply execute the .REG file it created during the backup. This is optional, and just a thought to save coding time.
