Video Sharing

*Description *A website dedicated to self-help videos. Similar to other popular video sharing/publishing sites except that the content is purely self-help videos. Content can be easily uploaded and streamed using Flash Media Server 2.0. The Application itself is standalone. The system is a public however it is a promotional tool for the customer's tv commercial production business. *The Product * The base product is video content streaming via an easy to use, user-friendly web interface. There are two types of service accounts; Free and Premium. The Free account is the base account all users start off with. During the signup procedure, the user is presented an option to upgrade or continue to use the free account and upgrade later. The Premium service enables features within the site that are not available to free accounts. *Project Requirements & Responsibilities* The coder will be responsible to design the framework & attached list of modules. The coder is NOT expected to design the flash components however basic understanding on how the flash media server functions is an asset. The coder will have assistance in the integration piece with flash. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform System should be built using ASP.NET 2.0 built on a Windows 2003 Platform with MS SQL (MySQL preferred). The system architecture is currently still in development, so suggestions from the developer would be optimal at this point. Once complete, the developer will have full RDP & file access to upload and test his/her work. Servers reside in a major data center in Toronto, Ontario Canada. There is a total of 4 servers, two servers acting as backups to the primary, we are using file & db replication. Both production servers serve two different functions; first server is the front-end server which runs IIS and stores all the required files. The second server, backend will run MSSQL (MySQL prefered) as well as the Flash Media Server software.
