Recently moved zend site not working correctly

We've recently moved a clients website to a new server. The programmer who developed the site done it in zend (and we have no experience of that) and he's since left us. It's a news and information site. In the admin, when uploading an image it doesn't seem to upload it correctly. I have seen that the image does get loaded onto the server but the site doesn't seem to reference it correctly. There's also an admin section to add news information and this doesn't seem to work either. This all worked fine in the old location, but since we have moved it, it no longer works. We moved the site a couple of months ago and because the client doesn't update the site often, we never noticed this and so do not a 100% working version elsewhere. Need someone who knows zend to update the code slightly to get it working again. Should be a quick job, probably a simple config issue, but we know nothing about zend,
