I am in need of an expert mysql programmer who is also familiar with using excel files to upload data to a database. The chosen programmer will also be required to build php scripts that generate reports from queries. I currently upload excel files to the database. Each excel file is saved to the database for a specific date. I then generate reports form the front-end which, as of late, take a very long time to run. The programmer will need to build better queries to speed up load times, and this may also require modifications to the current process of uploading excel files and storing data. I have dealt with the upload of excel files using PHP before and so that bit of the project will not be a problem. The bit that may prove time consuming are the reports which as you say are taking too long. This may need the fine-tuning of the queries you use.
