I would like to have a very basic web based chat program created that can be used by 2 people to communicate. Each person should have a username (which has to be entered first to gain access), then once logged in there should be a very basic (GTalk like) interface where text messages can be exchanged. No emoticons or anything fancy, just plain text messages. Messages should ideally be stored in mysql. Ideally I want each person to have a username for logging in and a nickname, but no password.
