A video recording application for Apple iOS 4.2 is required with the following features: + The target device is the iPhone 4, but it should work with the iPod Touch 4G if possible. + Recorded video must be locked at 1280x720 pixels and 24 progressive frames per second. This is the primary feature of this application. The frame rate should NOT vary during recording** and MUST NOT be 30 frames per second as per the default for iOS. PLEASE DO NOT bid on this project if you do not know how to achieve this feature. + It must be possible to control the focus of the camera by touching the screen as per the standard iOS camera feature. + It must be possible to stop recording and start recording again without exiting the application. Each time this occurs the video should be saved to a new file. + Selectable bitrates are preferred, but a locked bitrate is fine if it guarantees 24 frames per second. + The output video codec is at your discretion, but H264 is preferred. The chosen codec must not result in poor video quality. + Audio should be recorded along with the video as normal. There should be an option to turn audio recording off. The choice of audio codec is at your discretion, but should not affect the audio quality (beyond existing hardware limitations). + The preference for the storage location of recorded videos is the Apple "Pictures" application. If you choose instead to store the videos in the application itself it should be possible to play back recorded videos from within the application. + Captured video must be available to be copied off the device in a standard fashion. If recorded videos are stored in the Apple "Pictures" application no further work is required on your part. If you choose to store the videos in the application itself, FTP or some other mechanism is acceptable - as long as the files do not take up twice the amount of disk space for your mechanism to work (e.g. copy to iTunes keeps a copy of the video in the "recording" spot in the application, as well as placing in the iTunes accessible folder). ** NB: It is expected that this application will be used under ideal lighting conditions. If a shot is not well lit and the hardware is not capable of delivering 24 frames per second, this is acceptable. If a shot is well lit, any change in frame rate during recording from 24 frames per second is absolutely not acceptable.
