Project Description:
We are a small company currently running 3 different windows servers all running simple software such as Sage Accounting and we want it all put onto one hosted Amazon Ec2 AWS server running either Windows server 2012 or 2008. The idea is to elimate the actual servers and run just one application (Sage Accounting) on 1 Amazon hosted server.
The job is pretty simple: we will give you the log in details for the Amazon control panel and you will create the server and then create the 20 virtual machines which each employee will use to log in via remote desktop to work in the application.
All the job entails is setting up the server and then setting up the virtual machines that each employee accesses via their RDC and installing one piece of software (Sage Accounting 50) on each instance.
Would appreciate some advice on which size server to go for as the idea of this whole project is to reduce costs in the long term.
