From what I can see doing mail merge is not that complex to program, but depends on your requirements and what did you had in mind for advanced search capability. Hi There, Im an experience database developer. I have already written complex mail merge programs in the past. One of my profile projects is for a University, where we generated student invoices for different countries. It was complex as every invoice had to be in the correct currency.
