Fix footer for IE 9 and Firefox

My footer was working only on IE 8 and Google Chrome (I never tried Safari). Firefox and IE9 are now the browsers not displaying my footer properly. I only need my footer fixed. My theme is Thesis 1.8 and it's Wordpress of course. The footer is supposed to be a widgetized three column footer. On Google Chrome, it displays correctly, showing vertical columns. On the other browsers mentioned, it displays with horizontal rows not columns and the color is also missing (#C40002). So, rather than someone trying who has no idea what they are doing, I only want bids from people who have experience with Thesis and possibly Thesis Open Hook who know what they are doing. I would think someone who knows what to do could finish this job in about 30 minutes or less.
