Hello, I am a scientific programmer specialized in numerical methods. Matlab has buil-in functions that are not available in Fortran. Thus they have to be either hand-coded or taken from a 3rd party library (like LAPACK for instance). If this is the case here then it will take longer for me to finish the project -- and my payment should be higher than my current bid. Thank you.

My dissertation at Stanford was on implementing a complex finite difference code for simulating 3D fluid flow. The code was written in Fortran 90 and I used Matlab extensively to post-process the results and prototype the main code. I have several years of experience writing in both Matlab and FORTRAN. I have written FORTRAN code for Computational Fluid Dynamics and Orbital Mechanics, so I will probably understand the mathematics very well.

I can do that. I already implemented finite differences ( with frontal and central aproximation of derivades ) in MatLab and rewrited to Fortran 95. I also already programmed elements finites (with 3d mesh) at F95. I would like to have 1 week to do that, but i can also do a lot faster if needed.

Hello, I regularly work with both FORTRAN 95 and MATLAB, I often use MATLAB to prototype code that I will convert to FORTRAN for use on a UNIX computer. I can easily achieve this task for you. One note of caution, whoever you choose, in my experience FORTRAN is highly dependent upon the compiler used for successful input/output actions.
