Phonegap based app rejected by Itunes for not native reasons

I tried publishing an app on Itunes (through Itunes Connect). It got reviewed and the response was "We reviewed your app and found the following issues with the user interface of your app: - Did not integrate with iOS features. - Did not include iOS features. For example, it would be appropriate to use native iOS buttons and iOS features other than just web views, Push Notifications, or sharing. " The app reads from a remote MySql db and shows the results on the the screen. The app uses Phonegap and was compiled using XCODE 4.2. I did not write the app. Someone else did and I am not familiar with xcode. If you make it publishable let me know your bid. I can show you the android version which is published at Google Play.
