Windows 7 Explorer has a navigation pane with by default the 'Libraries', 'Favorites', 'Computer' and 'Network' sections. I am looking for someone to write me a hook or program in order to add custom navigation pane categories resembling the function of the 'Favorites' category (I.E> allow me to add any folders to the custom category). running [login to view URL] with the /e,/root,[customfolder] arguments illustrates the behavior however has two downsides, the folder appears at the bottom of the list and explorer will open a new window when navigating away from the 'root' structure. Adobe Premiere has the behavior built into the 'import files' function and displays the active project on top, with a custom icon and title for the premiere pro category. This is exactly the requested behavior. The new custom navigation pane categories should be permanently visible in all explorer windows as well as open file and save file dialogs. The title and icon of each new category should be customizable.
